There but by the grace of some journo, dubstep could have well been named hyperdub and maybe should have. He also ran another blog influenced by bushido code and samurai ethics applied to music which pushed another strain of UKG he was developing, sinodub.
Sadly, neither of those sites exist in pure form but may possibly still linger as echos cached in virtuality.
Fast forward to the present and hyperdub is now an eclectic label most responsible for inflicting burial and the spaceape upon us...

Dubstep doesn't need loyalty. It's not a fragile little creature that needs to be nurtured — at its centre, it's a big, ugly and increasingly popular monster that is gorging itself into immobility. The mainstream of dubstep is becoming such an abortion that it's really very little nothing to do with anything I'm interested in musically, apart from tempo...
Oh dear...Here in a recent interview with some old school techno stalwart he ruminates on a whole bunch of shit, but what comes thru most is, as the Dr who helped design the frankensteinish creation that is dubstep, he has now joined the mob in trying to destroy it or at the very least exile himself from it...
...but maybe, as a mind extant from the brain, the good dr Frank Einstein could remotely control his creation to suit his own agenda and abrogate responsibility to the supposed free will of the monster and the whims of the mob ???
