laughter in the face of death

there is nothing like it...

...putting your arse on the line at the risk of really and truly dying while laughing at the absurdity of things we do to get by

today I was building a tower crane. It is only 70 metres high but in the pissy, pouring rain and wind, freezing your nuts off hanging out there above everything with an unfettered view of the surrounding city, it is exhilarating...

...knowing one false move and you're plummeting to certain death or one careless move and something falls 70 metres to hopefully not land on someone but if it did then it's their death

it makes you appreciate life, loves and your surroundings all the more...

...as much as i would hate to die from a fall, cos it's more the embarrassment of it than anything else that worries me, i would die with no regrets but for not having seen my children grow up to be all that i wasn't or could have been

live and love life...
